The ProTool 4.5" x 10" sediment filter cartridge is a polypropylene depth filter designed to remove sand, silt, dirt, rust, and other suspended particles from water. Manufactured from melt-blown, spun polypropylene fibers, it provides 5 micron nominal filtration for water-only applications. This cartridge fits most standard 4.5" x 10" inline filter housings and is typically used as a pre-filtration stage ahead of carbon or RO systems. It does not remove chlorine, chemicals, cysts, bacteria, or viruses.
